Some tips for better user experience:
Don't completely fill the ice mold, 80%-90% works well and gives the ice/water enough room to expand when it's frozen. 
Distilled water or cooled down boiled water would be the best choice, which can give you slightly clearer ice.  
Use warm water (but not hot water) to make getting ice ball out of the mold much easier.
